Terms and Conditions of Sale

1. All books published or distributed by the University of North Carolina Press are available through bookstores or directly from Longleaf Services.
   
   
2. Online orders must be paid using VISA or MasterCard. Mail orders must be prepaid by credit card, check, or money order in U.S. dollars, drawn on a U.S. bank and made payable to Longleaf Services. All prices are in U.S. dollars and subject to change without notice. Sale prices expire after the designated date.
   
   
3. Residents of North Carolina will be charged appropriate state and local sales tax.
   
   
4. Domestic shipping: please add $5.00 USPS or $6.00 UPS for the first book and $1.00 for each additional book. Please allow up to 2 weeks for delivery. Shipping outside the United States: All orders shipping outside the U.S. require payment by credit card. We will bill you card for the actual postage charged by the US Postal Service. For an estimate of that charge, please contact our customer service center.
   
   
5. Orders for books that are in stock are processed and shipped within 2-3 working days. We will ship forthcoming titles as they become available during the month of publication and will not charge your credit card until the book is shipped.
